On Wednesday, May 4th 2011 shortly after 4am the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 109 East Main St on a reported fire. First due Engine-4 arrived to find a 2sty vacant dwelling with heavy fire blowing out the first and 2nd floor windows. A deck gun was used while crews began advancing hand lines into the structure. A 2nd alarm was called shortly thereafter as fire threatened attached vacant structures. Aggressive interior attacks were able to contain the fire to the building of origin and knock the fire down within minutes.
