On the cold morning of Monday, January 28th 2008 the Paterson NJ Fire Department operated at 184 Spring St. Fire was venting out the front door of a 2.5sty occupied multiple dwelling. Companies put exterior lines into operation in order to protect exposures and darken heavy fire so entry could be made. A 2nd alarm was subsequently requested.
Companies were later delayed by burning power lines. Once Public Service cut power, crews quickly opened up walls and knocked down remaining fire. 14 residents were left homeless.
