On Monday, November 2nd 2009 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 109 East 23rd St off of 3rd Ave for a reported fire. First arriving units reported heavy fire visible out the 2nd floor windows however access was hampered by down high-tension wires across the street. The fire involved the 2nd floor right apartment in a 2.5sty 50x80 duplex. Exterior lines worked on visible fire until entry could be made. A 2nd alarm was requested due to an exposure issue which was later rectified. 2 firefighters received non-life threatening injuries.
