05-18-07 - Elmwood Park 2nd Alarm - 475 Market St

On Friday Evening, May 18th 2007 the Elmwood Park Fire Dept responded to 475 Market St on a reported fire. The first arriving Chief reported heavy fire in a 2sty vacant commercial building. A 2nd alarm was requested and exterior operations were quickly put into place. Due to the fire being already self-vented through the roof and a portion of the corrugated wall, companies were able to get water on the fire quickly and contain it to the building of origin. There were no reported injuries and the cause was undetermined at time of writing.
