1-24-07 - Cedar Grove Fatal 2nd Alarm - 60 Montclair Ave Around 4am on Wednesday January 24th 2007 the Cedar Grove NJ Fire Department responded to 60 Montclair Ave on a reported house fire with entrapment. Prior to arrival companies could see a home well involved in fire. Mutual aid was quickly called and first due companies immediately put large outside lines into operation. After quickly darkening down heavy fire, companies made attempts to search attic rooms for occupants. During overhaul, firefighters located a deceased victim in a 1st floor room. Cause and determination is still under investigation.
