On Sunday, July 12th 2009 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 312 Sussex St after receiving numerous calls reporting a fire. Companies reported visible smoke from quarters just after dispatch. First due units requested a second alarm as they found heavy fire venting out 3 sides of a 3sty multiple dwelling. Rapid placement of exterior lines darkened down before 2nd alarm companies even arrived on the scene. There were 2 firefighters transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
