On Sunday afternoon, November 29th 2009 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to the area of 300 Dixon Ave for a reported building fire. As companies left quarters, they reported smoke visible from a distance. On arrival, Engine 7 reported heavy fire in the rear of an occupied multiple dwelling with exposure problems. Lines were stretched to the rear deck area of a 3sty OMD and companies began knocking down the fire. There was some extension to the exposed walls of the neighboring addresses and a 2nd alarm was requested. Crews were able to contain the fire before the fire could spread any further.
