On Sunday, September 13th, 2009 the Totowa NJ Fire Department responded to the area of Maltese Dr and West End Rd for a reported smoking trailer. After a short search, companies found smoldering debris and garbage in a 45 foot municipal waste trailer. Access was inhibited by surrounding trailers so a ladder and deck gun were used. Crews operated for a short while until the trailer was flooded and then ultimately removed for overhaul. There were no reported injuries.
