On Tuesday, April 28th 2009 the Paterson Fire Department responded to 31 Montclair Ave off of Sussex St on a reported fire. First due companies reported numerous trapped occupants on the top floor of a 3sty private dwelling with smoke pushing from all floors. As truck companies took the front of the building and began effecting rescues, other members rapidly advanced lines onto a working basement fire. <p> A total of 8 victims were removed with ground ladders as interior searches were successful in removing 2 victims. The victims were in respiratory arrest and revived by fire and ems personnel. <p> There were no firefighter injuries reported.
