Shortly after 1pm on Friday November 9th 2007 the North Hudson Regional Fire Department received numerous calls reporting a building fire at 6308 Jackson St. First due units requested an immediate 2nd alarm after they arrived to a well involved 2sty 50x75 commercial building. Fire was extending into the exposure buildings on all surrounding sides. Within just a few minutes, company officers requested a 3rd alarm and subsequently a 4th alarm as numerous homes were being threatened.

Additional alarm companies entered exposure buildings and knocked down most fire before additional homes could be taken out. Exterior operations maintained the heavy volume of fire to the original buildings. A 5th alarm was called for water supply and manpower as the fire worked it’s way towards the front of the original building.

There were no reported injuries and the fire was under investigation.
