1-11-07 - Paterson 3rd Alarm - 290 Governor St <br> Shortly after 4am on Thursday January 11th 2007 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to the area of 290 Governor St on a reported fire. As companies were leaving headquarters they could see a glow across town confirming a working fire. On arrival companies found fire blowing out the front windows on all floors of a 3sty frame and extending into a 2sty multiple dwelling. A 2nd and 3rd alarms were quickly requested as the fire was threatening additional exposures.

Rapid placement of large lines on the original fire building quickly darkened down heavy fire. Interior crews made several attempts to make the attic of the Exposure D building but were unsuccessful prompting an exterior attack. It took several hours to bring the fire under control with the freezing temperature making it difficult to begin with. There were no reported injuries.
