On Saturday evening, February 28th 2009 the West Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 32 Whippany Ave on a reported fire. First due units found smoke emanating from a 2sty occupied private dwelling. Crews forced entry through a secured front door and advanced 1 hand line onto a kitchen fire. Primary searches resulted in the rescue of 1 k-9 which was unharmed. There were no injuries reported.
