03-03-07 - Paterson 2nd Alarm - 85 Presidential Blvd.

On Saturday, March 3rd 2007 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 85 Presidential Blvd on multiple calls reporting an apartment fire. On arrival companies found heavy smoke showing from a 9th fl balcony in a 16sty high rise project type bldg. Companies quickly advanced to the fire floor and put 1 line in operation. Once in the apartment, it was determined that the fire involved just the outside balcony with some damage to the apartment. Fire was placed under control shortly and a 2nd alarm was requested for manpower. 1 Firefighter was treated and released for respiratory problems.
