On Sunday September 16th, 2007 the Clifton NJ Fire Department responded to 20 Home Pl at the corner of Parkview Terr on numerous calls reporting a house fire. FD confirmed fire through the roof of a 2.5sty O.M.D. on arrival. Fire involved the rear 1st and 2nd floors and the entire attic before the Fire Department even arrived. Compounded with water problems, companies had difficulty getting an initial handle on the fire. Fire vented out the 3 rear sides of the building as well as the attic.

Members were evacuated from the building just before the attic collapsed into the 2nd floor. Exterior lines then quickly knocked down the visible fire and companies were able to regain entry for overhaul. There was 1 civilian injury reported and no firefighters were reported injured. Cause of the fire was unknown at time of this writing.
