On Saturday December 22nd 2007 the Passaic NJ Fire Department responded to 220 Passaic St on a fire alarm activation. Companies arrived to find heavy smoke and fire showing from a rear 2nd floor apartment in a 3.5sty project type bldg. A 2nd alarm was quickly called as fire was auto-exposing into the 3rd floor apartment via the windows. <p> Members quickly put 2.5" handlines into operation and were able to quickly knock down the heavy fire. 1 firefighter collapsed with non-life threatening injuries early in the fire.
