On Wednesday, August 12th 2009, the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to the corner of Union and Wayne Ave’s on a reported fire. First due companies found heavy smoke pushing from a 35x50 1sty commercial building. With access problems causing delays, the fire extended to an attached 10 foot extension garage towards the rear of the building. Once entry was gained, 3 hand lines and truck work opening the ceilings quickly knocked the fire that consumed most of the cockloft. There were no reported injuries.
