5-06-06 - Paterson 2nd Alarm - 4-8 Grimes Place On Saturday May 6th the Paterson Fire Department responded to 4-8 Grimes Place on a reported fire. On arrival companies found heavy fire showing out of the 2nd floor windows from an end unit apartment. The building was a 2.5sty 100X20 multiple dwelling with a fire wall halfway through. Fire had already advanced into the attic causing the need for a 2nd alarm. Rapid trench cut at the fire wall and placement of elevated streams contained the fire to the one half of the building. There were no reported injuries.
