On Saturday, December 4th, 2010 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to numerous calls including walk in reports of a building fire at 64 Plum St. 1st due companies quickly called a 2nd alarm as an outside fire, driven by high winds, had already began to consume a 2sty duplex as well as a 1sty frame exposure and 3sty OMD exposure. Crews quickly put several large hand lines into operation as a 3rd alarm with mutual aid (“General Alarm”) was requested.
Companies were able to contain fire in the exposure buildings quickly but needed to conduct exterior operations on the original fire building until it was placed under control.
