On Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to Rose St off of Market St on a reported fire. First arriving companies reported heavy fire showing from the top floor of a 2.5sty frame with exposure problems. Crews quickly put lines into place as fire extended into the cockloft of exposure "B", a 3sty vacant dwelling. A 2nd alarm was called for manpower and dead hydrants were reported by first in units. <p> Exterior operations knocked down fire on the original building and interior crews were able to contain the cockloft fire. A 3rd alarm was later called for manpower due to high heat conditions. 2 firefighters were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
