On Thursday, September 16th, 2010 the Clifton NJ Fire Department responded to 911 Van Houten Ave on a reported house fire. First arriving companies reported heavy smoke showing from a 1sty private dwelling. Crews advanced a line into the basement however were unable to immediately locate the seat of the fire. A backup line was stretched and a 2nd alarm was requested. Prior to the arrival of 2nd alarm companies, interior crews reported the fire contained and knocked down. There were no reported injuries.
