On Sunday, June 13th 2010 shortly after 1830hrs the Fairfield NJ Fire and Police Departments responded to the “Telebrands Complex” on Two Bridges Road on a reported smoke condition in the area. First arriving police and fire units tracked a smoke condition back to a 2sty 125x125 office building located at 81 Two Bridges Road. As crews entered the non-sprinklered building to search for the seat of the fire, smoke and heat intensified prompting additional mutual aid. <p> As fire consumed the cockloft along the left side of the building and the truss roof began to sag, crews were ordered to evacuate and several rounds of exterior operations were conducted to darken fire. Additional alarm levels were called throughout a 3 hour period to rotate firefighters, stretch additional water supplies, and to attack the fire from different angles due to the building conditions. County arson units were investigating the cause and several firefighters were treated and transported for heat and smoke related issues.
