On Tuesday, February 1st 2011 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 254 Liberty St on a reported fire. First arriving companies reported the rear of a 2sty multiple dwelling well involved. Hampered by mounds of snow and a rapidly spreading fire, a 2nd alarm was requested as the “D” exposure became involved. Crews placed several hand lines into operation to contain the fire towards the rear of the building. A 3rd alarm was later called due to water supply and manpower issues due to various access issues with resources. Two firefighters received non-life threatening injuries.
