12-24-06 - Hackensack 2nd Alarm - 265 Beech St On Christmas Eve the Hackensack NJ Fire Department responded to 265 Beech Street at the corner of 2nd St on reported smoke coming from an apartment. On arrival, companies found heavy fire in a 2nd floor apartment making it’s way into the hallway. First arriving units quickly laddered the building, stretched a 2.5” hand line down a long corridor, and called for a 2nd alarm. Aggressive attacks with the initial line quickly knocked down fire before it made the hallway and causing additional damage. 8 residents were reportedly displaced.
