03-29-14 - Belleville 4th Alarm - 472 Washington Ave

On Saturday March 29th 2014 the Belleville NJ Fire Department responded to 472 Washington Ave for a fire. On arrival companies found a basement fire quickly extending up the walls of a 3sty attached mixed occupancy building. Additional alarm levels were called as the fire rapidly advanced up through all floors and began breaking through the roof. Interior crews on the B side were able to prevent the fire from extending to the other structures. Crews continued to operate with a mix of interior and exterior lines until the fire was exposed enough to be knocked down. There were no reported injuries.
