On Tuesday, June 8th 2010 the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue responded to 1911 Palisades Ave on a reported fire. Companies called a 2nd alarm on arrival when they were met with heavy fire on the 2nd fl of a 2sty occupied multiple dwelling. A 3rd alarm was called shortly thereafter as fire extended into Exposure-B. Crews quickly advanced hand lines into both buildings as fire extended into the cocklofts. A 4th alarm was requested as fire made its way into the cockloft of Exposure-D. Numerous firefighters were treated for heat related issues and several were transported to area hospitals. Finally a 5th alarm was requested for manpower to assist with overhaul and rotations.
