Shortly after 2am on Wednesday, January 6th 2010 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to the corner of Hamilton Ave and Auburn St for a reported fire. First arriving companies reported a well involved porch fire extending into the first and second floors of a large 2.5sty frame. As the following engine companies arrived, they began finding numerous dead hydrants thus prompting a 2nd alarm. A water supply was established several blocks away and the fire was under control shortly thereafter.
This was the city’s third fire of the night and second – 2nd alarm.
