1-28-06 - Ridgewood General Alarm - 33 North Pleasant Ave Shortly after 9pm on Saturday evening January 28th, the Ridgewood NJ Fire Department responded to 33 North Pleasant Ave on a reported fire. On arrival, companies found heavy fire blowing out the first floor windows and auto exposing to the upper floors. Companies quickly darkened fire on the 1st and 2nd floors however were unable to stop the fire before it advanced into the attic. Mutual aid was requested and deteriorating conditions forced the evacuation of the fire building. Exterior operations later darkened down the fire that had broken through the roof and the incident was brought under control shortly thereafter. No injuries were reported.
