On Thursday, May 27th 2010 shortly after 3am the Rutherford NJ Fire Department responded to 412 Lincoln Ave on a reported house fire. First arriving fire units requested a 2nd alarm when confronted with a well involved 2sty frame and two cars burning in the driveway. Crews quickly advanced several 2.5” hand lines into operation in efforts to contain the fire from exposing into the neighboring houses.

Additional lines were stretched and began to darken fire as mutual aid companies arrived. <p> Once heavy fire was darkened down, crews entered the dwelling and began overhaul. Crews had various flare ups in the attic which were eventually knocked down as overhaul hand lines made their way up the stairs. Several firefighters were evaluated for heat related issues. The cause of the fire was thought to be electrical in origin.
