On Saturday September 28th, 2013 the Totowa NJ Fire Department responded to the North Jersey Developmental Center, 169 Minisink Rd, on a reported fire alarm. First arriving units found heavy water flowing from a 2.5sty multiple dwelling and smoke from the windows. A working fire was called and crews advanced a hand line onto a bedroom contents fire. Mutual aid fast team stood by as crews contained the fire and overhauled. No other damage was received.
