On Sunday, March 29th 2010 the Clifton NJ Fire Department Responded to 24 Day St, Building U for multiple calls reporting a fire. First arriving police units requested an expedite on fire department citing multiple occupants hanging out of apartment windows. First due fire units reported heavy fire blowing out the rear 1st floor apartment windows in a 3sty “L” shaped garden apartment building. Additional companies were called to the scene to assist with putting lines into operation and rescues. <p> Crews darkened down fire on the first floor however various holes and pipe chase allowed for extension to the 2nd floor prior to overhaul. Fire eventually broke out inside two 2nd floor apartments before the fire could be brought under control.
