On Sunday, April 18th 2010 the North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue responded to 13th St and Palisades Ave for a reported fire. With heavy smoke visible enroute, companies called a 2nd alarm before arriving. First due units reported a well involved 3sty OMD extending into exposures. A 3rd alarm was subsequently called as fire began extending into a 2.5sty frame, a 1sty garage, and a 3sty OMD. Due to collapse hazards, companies were withdrawn from the building and exterior operations were initiated. A 4th alarm was requested when fire entered a 3rd building however companies were able to stop the progression before additional damage could be incurred.

Several firefighters were transported to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the fire was thought to have been originally a car fire.
