On Saturday, December 17th 2011 the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 17th Ave and East 32st St on a reported fire. First arriving companies found heavy fire venting from the “D” side 1st floor window and extending into the 2nd fl of a large 2.5sty frame. Companies quickly advanced lines and contained fire on the 1st flow however the rapidly advancing fire already made its way into the attic. A 2nd alarm was later called to assist with manpower in reaching the heavy fire in the attic. Exterior operations were used for a short time to darken down fire before crews could hit hot spots and begin overhaul.
