On Sunday, April 29th, 2012 the Hawthorne NJ Fire Department responded to 2 North 12th St at the corner of Prescott for a reported fire. First arriving units found heavy fire venting from a 1st floor "D" side window and heavy smoke on the remainder of the 1st and 2nd floors. Crews quickly advanced hand lines through the rear door and advanced on the fire prior to it extending. Fire was contained to the room of origin and there were no reported injuries.
