10-08-06 - Hawthorne Working Fire - 49 North 12th St On October 8th 2006 the Hawthorne NJ Fire Department responded to 49 North 12th St for a reported fire. On arrival companies found heavy fire in the attic blowing out the front window and breaking through the roof. With a truck out of service, a Squirt from Prospect Park was requested immediately. Additional mutual aid for relief and cover was later requested. Cause of the fire was unknown and the fire was contained to the attic and a localized area of the 2nd floor. There were no reported injuries.
