6-10-05 - Rochelle Park 2nd Alarm - 114 Hazley St On Friday, June 10, 2005, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the Rochelle Park Fire Department was dispatched to 114 Hazley Avenue for a report of a house fire. Upon arrival, companies were met with fire venting out of two first-floor windows and two second-floor windows. Due to daytime manpower, a second-alarm consisting of Maywood, Saddle Brook, Paramus and Lodi fire companies, was quickly requested. Due to an aggressive attack and the application of Class-A foam by way of the Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS), the fire was able to be knocked down with the first handline and overhauled with the second line as a precaution. Numerous pets were lost during the fire and no injuries other than heat exhaustion were reported.
