01-13-08 - Passaic 2nd Alarm - 261 Main Ave - First due companies had heavy smoke showing prior to arrival. Command and interior crews later confirmed a top floor fire in a 2.5sty mixed occupancy frame. Residents were removed by PD prior to FD arrival. First due engine company quickly put a line into operation as trucks began venting and searching. A 2nd alarm was called as additional lines were being stretched. The main body of fire was knocked down before any further damage was sustained. There were no reported injuries.
