On Friday, September 10th, 2010 Members of the Temple Ave Firehouse radio alarmed a working fire at 35 North 3rd St after smelling smoke in the firehouse. Some companies on the initial alarm were delayed by train and compounded with an exposure problem, command quickly requested a 2nd alarm as a precaution. Crews aggressively attacked 2nd floor fire which was already into the attic and breaking through the roof. Members were able to contain the fire to the 3sty 25x40 dwelling before extension could be made to the similar exposure. There were no reported injuries.
