On Wednesday evening, August 11th 2010, North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue responded to 49th St and Park Ave for a reported fire. Companies found heavy fire venting from two (2) bays of a 1sty 40x30 auto repair facility and office. The fire began quickly extending to the front of an attached 3 story occupied multiple dwelling. A 2nd alarm was quickly called due to trapped occupants and heavy fire conditions. Shortly thereafter a 3rd alarm was struck. Crews operated with exterior operations on the original fire building and were able to contain fire spread in the attached multiple dwelling.
