3-08-06 - Little Falls 2nd Alarm - 70 East Main St. On Wednesday, March 8th the Little Falls Fire Department responded to 70 East Main Street for an unk original type of call. On arrival, companies investigated smoke and heat conditions on the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 story frame occupied as a mortgage business. After several minutes of searching for the seat of the fire and preparing for ventilation, companies evacuated the building. Heavy smoke began pushing from all floors and sides of the building just before fire broke out from basement windows. Fire then quickly vented through 1st and 2nd floor windows. Mutual aid from surrounding agencies responded to assist. Cause of fire is under investigation and there are no reported injuries.
