On Friday, June 19th 2026 shortly after 1800hrs the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to East 16th St between 3rd and 4th Avenues (nearby Box-215) for a reported fire. First arriving units called a 2nd alarm on arrival for heavy fire consuming the rear of a 2.5sty 25x40 OMD and extending to it's exposures (similar size up). A tower ladder was positioned on the East 15th St side of the buildings to knock down fire from an elevated position with direct access. A 3rd alarm was called which also brought mutual aid from Passaic and Haledon to the scene to assist with water supply and overhaul.
The original fire building was 51 East 16th and the fire impacted exposures B1 B2 B3 and D1 before being brought under control. One (1) firefighter was treated and transported by BLS to St. Joseph's hospital for evaluation.
