On Saturday, August 28th, 2010 the Englewood NJ Fire Department responded to 12 James St for a reported fire. First arriving companies found the rear half of a 2.5sty 25x50 vacant dwelling fully involved. A 2nd alarm was requested as companies experienced heavy fire conditions and water supply issues. Radiant heat caused damage to a neighboring home. A 3rd alarm was requested as companies were withdrawn from the building due to deteriorating conditions. The home was marked with an Order to Vacate due to building conditions 2 days earlier. 1 Firefighter was transported with non-serious injuries and numerous other firefighters were evaluated for heat exhaustion.
