8-11-06 - Paterson 2nd Alarm - 140 Godwin Ave Around 630am on Friday August 11th the Paterson NJ Fire Department responded to 140 Godwin Ave on a reported house fire. Prior to arrival first due companies reported a working fire as they could see heavy fire showing as they were coming down the block. On arrival, companies found heavy fire on all floors of a 2.5sty 25x40 two family home. Due to heavy fire conditions, companies quickly went to an exterior attack and stretched lines into the exposure building. Deteriorating building conditions prevented interior attack and a tin covered roof prolonged operations. Exposure building fire was contained to the exposed wall and was quickly contained. There were no reported injuries.
